Last week, I began to panic. I have a long wishlist of vegan cookbooks, but I'm not in a hurry to get them because I'm still working on what I have. Also, I'm on a ban til after the holidays so that my parents can do their gift shopping without worry.
The panic came upon reading that there was a limited number of Yellow Rose Recipes to be had.
Of course, the panic was unwarranted. There is a limited number of copies, so I went ahead and bought one. Problem solved. And, as a bonus, it's signed. Very fun.
So I'm looking forward to trying some Yellow Rose dishes in the near future.
Last week, I made Def Jam Bars from The Urban Vegan They were super sweet and delicious and an instant hit with everyone I shared with. They were also very easy to make and would be perfect for a potluck or faculty meeting. I'm looking forward to making them again with white chocolate.
I want the Urban Vegan but I too, have to cook though my books more before I buy ANOTHER book.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem, lazysmurf! I keep making exceptions, too, and I need to stop that. I waited months for Urban Vegan and I think I got it bump an Amazon order up to $25 for free shipping.
ReplyDeleteHave you made anything from her blog? Her Gussied Up Tabbouleh is what led me to want the book in the first place.
Those bars look tasty!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I need to make those!
ReplyDeleteYes you do! The dough comes together really fast and then the rest is as easy as making toast. The best part is that when refrigerated, the chocolate gets hard and it's like a crispy chocolaty shell.
